Important Announcement - Damage Update for Our Aircraft.
Please continue to check schedulebook.com for the latest updates on the in or out of service status of our aircraft. As of Friday, Feb 17th, we have four of our nine aircraft in service. Skyhawk N21056 was returned to service today. Seminole N2085B, which was previously returned to service, suffered a gear-up landing on Tuesday, the 14th, and is again out of service. Parts have arrived for the elevator on Cessna N49142 and work is progressing there. Our Skycatcher N30283 is scheduled into the shop on Monday, 2/20 for inspection. Our most recent update from the insurance adjuster is that the insurance company will process our claim on an aircraft by aircraft basis and advance funds for parts. This will allow us get aircraft back in service more quickly. .
On a positive note, the new engine for N704RB has arrived at MQS and preparations are beginning to get it installed on the aircraft.
We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work through this issue and we want yoiu to know we are working as quickly as possible to resolve all these issues and get all our aircraft back in full (and safe) service.

NOTICE - Annual Aircraft Checkout
As of January 1st, 2010, and with the concurrence of our insurance company, we require renter pilots to fly with a CCA instructor at least once per calendar year. You should select the most complex aircraft in which you are qualified- or use this opportunity to checkout in another make/model.
Washington DC Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) -
As of Feb. 17, 2009, the rule converting the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Area ADIZ into the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Area SFRA became effective. All pilots who operate within 60 nm of the DCA VOR are required to receive special awareness training, available at www.FAASafety.gov (select Featured Courses, course catalog, Washington DC SFRA). Within the 30 nm SFRA, pilots must file a flight plan, establish two-way radio communications with air traffic control, and operate the aircraft transponder on the transponder code assigned by air traffic. While the special awareness training is a one-time requirement, FAA strongly recommends that pilots review the online course from time to time. Because MQS is about 78 nm from the DCA VOR, we ask all student and renter pilots to complete the course and provide the flight school a copy of your certificate.

Chester County Aviation offers mult-engine training in a 1979 Piper Seminole. This aircraft recently received an extensive avionics upgrade and now features the Garmin GNS-530W along with a new Garmin SL-30 (Comm/Nav #2), GTX-330 Mode S Transponder, PS Engineering Audio Panel and a 406 Mhz ELT. Two other nice upgrades to the aircraft include a back-up electrically powered attitude indicator and a docking station for a Garmin 496 GPS with weather (available but not left in the aircraft). For training, the Seminole, combined with the King Schools Computer Based Instruction program, will make you a safe and competent multi-engine pilot.
Already Multi-Engine Rated? This aircraft is available for rental with reasonable minimums. Call us today to schedule your aircraft checkout.
Block Time is available for the Seminole. For a minimum account deposit of $2000, the hourly rate reduces from $220 to $200. Contact us for more information.
REMINDER!
The insurance policy for Chester County Aviation rental aircraft has two very important restrictions.
First, the aircraft may not be operated on other than hard surface, paved runways, without a CCA CFI on board.
Second, the aircraft may not be operated outside the Continental United States. Besides the insurance restriction, the aircraft do not have the required FCC radio station license and most likely, you do not have the required FCC operator permit.
ATTENTION - - FLIGHT SCHOOL STUDENTS
Effective December 20, 2004, the US Transportation Security Administration implemented specific rules regarding flight training leading to an Airman Certificate or Additional Rating, for both US and foreign students/pilots.
- - For US Citizens:
Effective December 20, 2004, you must provide proof of US Citizenship prior to any flight training, defined as training which can be used toward a new certificate or rating. You will receive a logbook endorsement verifying your citizenship. Reference: 49 CFR 1552.3(i)(iv)
- - For Non-US Citizens:
