The Cessna Aircraft Company has been synonymous with general aviation for more
than 70 years. They've built more airplanes than anyone else in the world; including
light single-engine personal aircraft, turbine-powered utility aircraft, and the
most popular business jets on the planet. And they build the aircraft that's taught
every U.S. Air Force jet pilot to fly since 1955.
It's no surprise that they're innovators in the world of flight training. Cessna, in partnership with
King Schools, developed the Cessna Flight Training System, a Web-Based Instruction Program (WBI), which
combines your flight training and ground school into an integrated series of paired flight and ground
lessons. Before each flight, you see a video demonstration of everything you will do in the air.
Because your ground and flight lessons are paired together logically, you learn faster, retain more,
stay ahead of your training and get your rating quicker than through the more traditional approaches.
The course includes:
Ground School Lessons — each computer lesson lays out what you need to know;
Fun, Interactive Questions — your computer will quiz you on the material – answer correctly and you move on. If you answer incorrectly, you will get a quick refresher;
Flight Previews — after completing a lab, a video "flight lesson" right on your computer lets you virtually view the upcoming flight experience.
And after you complete your Private Pilot certificate, a similar structured course will take you through the Instrument Rating.
